The NHS Prescription Order Line service is the easy way for you to order your repeat prescriptions

Please note that from 1st February 2023 our GP practice has been added to the Medicines Order Line facility that Derby and Derbyshire ICB have developed. We are one of the last Practices to be added to the facility. This means that, for those that cannot use the internet to order medication, they can call the Medicines Order Line and order repeat medication over the phone.

This means that we will no longer accept repeat prescriptions from pharmacies, or any handwritten request handed in to the practice. Your pharmacy has been made aware of the new process before Christmas and will be prepared for it. We will have a grace period while all patients and pharmacies get up to speed with all the ways of ordering.

You will now only be able to order your repeat prescriptions in the following ways:

1). Online via the Practice website at: www.mickleovermedicalcentre.co.uk/request-a-repeat-prescription

Please register for online services on our website, this will allow you to easily order from your personal record and medication through SystmOnline and it is secure. The old form allowing you to free text medication will close on 31st March 2023, so please register for online services to make it easier for you to order the right medication: www.mickleovermedicalcentre.co.uk/navigator/register-for-online-services

2). Through the NHS App – this also holds the exact medication you are on for repeat ordering: www.nhs.uk/nhs-app

3). Call the new dedicated NHS Medicines Order Line (MOL) on 0115 855 0260, between 08:00 and 16:00 Monday to Friday (we have been informed that the best time to call is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons due to it being the quietest time).

4). Call-back service, send an email and they will get back to you within 2 working days at ddccg.southMOLonlinerequests@nhs.net

5). Only if you have exhausted the above: In person at the practice where a MOLS form will have to be completed (no handwritten notes are accepted).
