Face covering in Practice to continue after 19th July 2021

Dear patients,

We are grateful for your ongoing support throughout the pandemic as we have striven to make Mickleover Medical Centre as safe as possible for all our patients and staff and will continue to do so going forward.

In line with current Government guidance patients are required to continue to wear a face covering in all healthcare settings after 19th July. Face covering primarily protect others, so doings so – unless exempt – is key to prevent the spread of infection. Our staff will continue to wear personal protective equipment (masks, apron, gloves etc).

What is happening now

We will continue to offer face to face appointments (which are currently 60% of all our appointments) along with telephone, video and digital consultations like we have be doing every single day for the last 18 months as per government guidelines. Introducing other ways of consulting i.e. digital and video, with our clinicians has been a positive experience for both clinicians and patients.

There are a mix of Partners, salaried GP’s and locums and we continue to work closely with local Pharmacies who can help you with minor illnesses, please click link for more information https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/prescriptions-and-pharmacies/pharmacies/how-your-pharmacy-can-help/

The waiting room will remain open for a maximum of 5 patients at one time and we are still allowing one patient in and one out for any Reception enquiries.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our patients again for their past and continued support.

Your Team at Mickleover Medical Centre
