Dear Patients,
We will be running our annual flu and covid clinics on every Saturday in October at the Royal British Legion.
Our planning is predicated on the previous years eligibility and will be co-adminstring the vaccines as per the request from NHSE. It is safe to do both vaccines at the same time and is recommended by the NHS. Those that just want one or the other or are only eligible for one or the other, please bear with us as there will be separate clinics. We do not know what covid vaccine will be supplied as yet.
Please note: If you have had the RSV vaccine, you cannot have a flu or covid vaccine within seven days of one or the other. We are running the RSV clinics at the practice in September, with mop ups in November and December for those eligible patients.
We have started our invitations to book directly into a slot online through the texting service. We will assume you are having both vaccines and will order your covid on booking – if you decide not to have it, the vaccine will be wasted so please let us know.
If you cannot book your appointment through this method, please only call between 11am and 3pm to book the appointment. We are first focussing on the Over 65 population and as soon as we have the eligbility confirmed for those vulnerable groups under 65, we will do the same and send out the appointment booking invitations.
As before the Housebound and Care home patients will be visited by the team and do not need to book. We will handle all contact and organise with the relevant parties.
To reduce the pressure on the phone lines, you will be able to go online to ask any queries using the General Enquiries Form.
The Practice buys the flu doses every year the year before, these will be arriving end of September ready for the season. Please support us by having your flu here.
