Practice Family Bereavement

Dear Patients and Friends of Dr Carolyn Keeling,

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr Keeling’s husband, Nick Keeling. You may or may not know that Dr Keeling has been caring for her husband for some years as his illness progressed. He passed away peacefully with Dr Keeling at his side just before Christmas. His funeral will take place under the current coronavirus restrictions next week.

The Partners and the team at Mickleover Medical Centre have expressed their condolences to Dr Keeling and her family, should you wish to do the same, you can do so directly to the Practice, where we will pass your comments/cards on to Dr Keeling.

They have asked for family flowers only but are happy for any donations to be sent to the charity PSPA.

Nick’s illness resembled PSP -a neurodegenerative condition. ┬áThe PSPA fund a lot of neurological research programmes which we hope will be able to help people like Nick in the future.

If you wish to make a donation you can do so via their website below – unfortunately you cannot leave a message on the website so if you want to┬árecord that your donation is in memory of Nick it is best to ring them during business hours on 01327 322410.

Dr Keeling is taking bereavement leave from the Practice in the meantime.
We have another doctor covering Dr Keeling in her absence.

We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time.
