Mask wearing

Dear Patients,

We have been undertaking a risk assessment to ascertain if we need to move back to universal mask wearing for patients and staff, due to increases in respiratory infections and being notified by the NHS to do so. This is to keep vulnerable patients safe, reduce spreading any infections and prevent staff from catching viruses, thus being off work.

We are reviewing this weekly, however, at this time we would like patients to wear a mask if they are able to, if they are coming into the Practice with a cough, cold or other such symptoms. There will be masks available in the front lobby of the reception, and at the reception desk. Please also advise a staff member if you would like them to wear a mask during their consultation, if they are not already doing so.

Some staff require a patient to wear a mask due to their own vulnerability, please respect this if they ask you to and you are able to do so.

We will continue to monitor the infection rates and respond to the Infection and Control leads across the Health Service.

Should you wish to vaccinate against Covid-19, there are still walk in clinics available and you can see where at this website:

The Practice still has a very small supply of FLU vaccinations for those eligible. Please ask at reception or send in an enquiry to the website. Reception enquiry
